No on 3 Statement

Newell Augur, the campaign manager for No on 3, has provided The Maine View with a statement as to why school consolidation should stand.  A statement from Yes on 3’s Skip Greenlaw and my opinion on Question 3 coming soon. Full statement after the cut.

Unless people vote No on Question 3, it will cost Maine taxpayers all over the state a lot of money, $30 million or more a year every year.

Unless people vote no, the quality of education, such as foreign languages, special education and gifted and talented and programs, will suffer all over the state.

Question # 3 is a very bad idea.  At a time when we need to save money and keep costs down, this would take us back to the bad old days of overspending on administrative overhead.
