The No On 1 Campaign to protect same-sex marriage has received an important endorsement today. There is a lot of debate surrounding same-sex marriage and same-sex couples in general who raise families. Throughout the country, people have questioned whether or not a household parented by same-sex parents is damaging to children. Many believe that as long as a parent or parents provide a loving, nurturing home that is all that matters. The Maine branch of the American Academy of Pediatrics has reaffirmed that belief today by coming out in support of same-sex marriage in Maine. Read the entire statement after the cut. (more…)
